Watch "The Distinction between Hope and Faith

Following are some group discussion questions:

The man whom E. Daniel met had no hope for change in his life.  It was as if he had been placed in a box of hopelessness and discarded. God spoke words of hope into his life:  He was a man of purpose, meant to be a "king" over the things (however small) in which God had put him in charge.  Recently this man has begun to take actions of faith as he holds on to those words of hope from God.  What are some of those simple actions of faith he has taken?

What are some of God's words of hope that have been spoken over our church?

(Here is a list of some of them)

Think about what actions of faith have you and others taken because of these words of hope for our church?

Like the man in E. Daniel's story, Satan wants us to stay in a box of hopelessness about our lives and about the circumstances around us.  It's vital that we take the time to listen for God's word of hope.  What is He saying over my life?  What is He saying over this situation?

Has God spoken words over your life that you know are from Him?  (This could be a scripture that you are holding onto or a specific word of hope for a certain situation)

What actions of faith have you taken because of those words?

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.  Romans 15:13

Pray that each in your group would ABOUND with words of hope from God and have the courage to take actions of faith based on that hope.
